I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences, holding a PhD in Geophysics. My research focuses on electromagnetic (EM) induction in planetary bodies, particularly on methods involving EM fields generated by natural sources, such as the oceans, ionosphere, and magnetosphere.
At GFZ, I am developing my MSCA project PHOENIX, which explores the use of satellite observations of tidally induced electromagnetic fields to investigate ocean heat content and its variability. To this end, I combine numerical modelling of electromagnetic induction with machine learning techniques.
Modelling of time-varying electromagnetic fields from natural sources
Applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in geophysics
Deep electromagnetic sounding of the Earth and other planetary bodies
Estimation of ocean properties from tidally induced electromagnetic fields
Deep subsurface exploration using themagnetotelluric (MT) and geomagnetic depth sounding (GDS) methods
Geological and geodynamic interpretation of electrical conductivity models
