The International Training Courses on ‘Seismology and Seismic Hazard Assessment’ aim at improving the earthquake hazard assessment and risk estimation through training on seismological analysis methods. They provide theoretical fundamentals and practical training in applied seismology, especially for geoscientists and engineers from developing countries. The course 2025 will take place as an online training course, arranged for the benefit of participants from earthquake-prone developing countries from Southern and Eastern Africa and neighboring countries. The number of participants is limited to about 16-20, to make the training effective.
