Mobile Instruments: GFZ

The GFZ provides various devices and instruments. Via the Geophysical Instrument Pool Potsdam (GIPP) and the DEPAS Pool, seismic and magnetotelluric instruments as well as GNSS receivers can be borrowed for temporary use by universities and research institutes. GIPP and DEPAS are modules of the Modular Earth Science Infrastructure| MESI.

Geophysical Instrument Pool Potsdam | GIPP

The "Geophysical Instrument Pool Potsdam | GIPP" by GFZ provides seismic, magnetotelluric and geodetic instruments and sensors for projects of GFZ groups, universities and other research facilities. It is hosted by Section 2.2 | Geophysical Imaging with technical support by Section 1.1 | Space Geodetic Techniques for the GNSS component.

DEPAS Pool

The German instrument pool for amphibian seismology (Deutscher Geräte-Pool für amphibische Seismologie | DEPAS) provides broadband-onshore stations and ocean bottom seismometers for the preferred use within amphibious projects.
