Development of hydrogen-oriented municipal waste refinery based on a novel borehole gasification process combined with advanced gas separation techniques | HydroMine

The main objective of the EU-funded project HydroMine is the development of an innovative technology for conversion of currently not economically usable fractions from municipal wastes into hydrogen to transit from its thermal utilisation or disposal on landfills to chemical valorisation in the sense of circular economy. For that purpose, the HydroMine project integrates mechanical processing of municipal wastes with their conversion into hydrogen in a georeactor as well as subsequent synthesis gas processing by means of membrane, plasma and adsorption methods.
