Modelling sustainable reservoir management | THC-Prognos
The aim of the joint project THC-Prognos, funded by BMWK, is the _hydrochemical characterisation for the prognostic modelling of sustainable reservoir management_. The main objectives of the project are obtaining hydrogeochemical data of known reservoir thermal waters in Germany and transfer them to various databases (TUdatalib, GeotIS); Development of a thermal-hydraulic-chemical (THC) modelling tool; and prognostic modelling of different geothermal sites under several utilization scenarios.
Section 3.4 with M. De Lucia supports the development of the THC modelling tool based on GOLEM. This tool will be extended in particular to analyse electrochemical processes such as the copper precipitation induced by steel tubing corrosion observed in various geothermal sites
