Geodynamic research software ASPECT, represented by Rene Gassmoeller (GEOMAR) and Anne Glerum (GFZ), has received the Helmholtz Software Award 2026 in the category Sustainability. The award recognizes the long-term sustainability of ASPECT's software engineering, the extensive support available to ASPECT users and the large scientific community that uses and develops the software. The award ceremony will take place on November 4 during the “Helmholtz Codes!” workshop.
