We are delighted to welcome Dr. Alice Abbate to our section!

Alice recently began a postdoctoral position in our section as part of the Multi-Marex joint project, a living lab for improved forecasting and possible actions for multiple extreme geomarine events. Her previous work focused on developing physics-based methods to reduce the computational cost of long-term Probabilistic Tsunami Hazard Assessment, while improving the accuracy of tsunami generation, propagation, and inundation under varying physical assumptions.
