RIM2D - Model for the simulation of flooded areas

Hydrodynamic models calculate flood propagation and provide detailed information on the extent of flooding, water depth and flow velocity. RIM2D is a hydrodynamic model that can be used to simulate flooding caused by heavy rainfall in urban areas, as well as flash floods and river flooding. Its outstanding feature is the speed with which it simulates floods. This enables many scenarios to be simulated in a short amount of time, even at a high spatial resolution. This makes it possible to predict flood areas and provide new information for disaster management.
