Function and Responsibilities:

Arnd Heumann contributes to the strategic development of the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences. As Head of Strategic Themes in the Team of the Scientific Executive Director, he helps advance institutional strategy processes, informs decision-making and develops analyses to support organisational priorities.
His career combines academic research with research management, international collaboration, innovation and technology transfer, and strategic coordination. These experiences provide a broad perspective on research organisations and the factors that shape their long-term development.
