Function and Responsibilities:

  • Investigating Effects of Climate Changes on Seismic Hazard Assessment
  • Point Process Modeling of Induced Seismicity
  • Developing Hybrid (Statistical + Physical) Forecasting Methods

Research Interests:

Computational geophysicist specializing in time-dependent seismicity and environmental perturbations of geophysical systems. My research integrates continuous waveform processing, statistical time-series analysis, and physics-based stress modelling to investigate how external forcings (e.g., surface loading) influence dynamic Earth processes. I have extensive experience developing Python-based analysis pipelines for multi-sensor geophysical datasets, with strong emphasis on reproducibility and version-controlled workflows.

Career:

Since 10.2024 Postdoc Researcher at University of Potsdam (SFB 1249 Data Assimilation) and GFZ (Section 2.1 Physics of Earthquakes and Volcanoes), Potsdam, Germany

01.2021 - 09.2024  Research Assistant at University of Potsdam (NatRiskChange) and GFZ (Section 2.1 Physics of Earthquakes and Volcanoes), Potsdam, Germany

04.2016 - 12.2020  Researcher at  International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (IIEES), Thren, Iran

Education:

2021 - 2024 PhD of Geophysics, University of Potsdam, Potsdam, Germany

2011 - 2014 Master of Geophysics, International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology, Tehran, Iran

2006 - 2009 Bachelor of Mine Engineering, Islamic Azad University (IAU), Maragheh, Iran
