Function and Responsibilities:
- PhD student at GFZ, focusing on carbon-related research using remote sensing and in-situ measurements
- Apply remote sensing technologies to study carbon dynamics and processes in various environments
- Collaborate with national and international partners as part of the Remo-Trees project to monitor forest ecosystems and carbon storage
- Analyze remote sensing data, interpret research results, and conduct field campaigns
- Participate in project meetings and scientific workshops
Research Interests:
- Interest in developing innovative solutions for mitigating climate change
- Enthusiastic about learning and applying deep learning techniques to environmental data analysis
- Focused on building and deploying new sensor systems for environmental monitoring
- Exploring "signals of opportunity" and engaging in low-level hacking to leverage untapped technological potentials in environmental research
