Function and Responsibilities:

  • PhD student at GFZ, focusing on carbon-related research using remote sensing and in-situ measurements
  • Apply remote sensing technologies to study carbon dynamics and processes in various environments
  • Collaborate with national and international partners as part of the Remo-Trees project to monitor forest ecosystems and carbon storage
  • Analyze remote sensing data, interpret research results, and conduct field campaigns
  • Participate in project meetings and scientific workshops

Research Interests:

  • Interest in developing innovative solutions for mitigating climate change
  • Enthusiastic about learning and applying deep learning techniques to environmental data analysis
  • Focused on building and deploying new sensor systems for environmental monitoring
  • Exploring "signals of opportunity" and engaging in low-level hacking to leverage untapped technological potentials in environmental research
