Function and Responsibilities:

The importance and necessity of software as a component of scientific work is constantly growing. I am a Research Software Engineer and part of the eScience Centre team at the GFZ. We are the point of contact for other sections regarding the challenges of digital transformation and provide support from the current state, through the user-centred development of prototypes, to the realisation of technical solutions and beyond with regard to the interoperability and communication of the various systems existing at the GFZ. We also offer consulting and support throughout the entire software development process for high-quality and sustainable software projects.
