Function and Responsibilities:
I support the development, deployment, management, and maintenance of environmental sensor systems for hydrological and ecohydrological field research. My responsibilities include coordinating sensor installations and measurement networks, sensor integration, development and adaptation of data logger hardware and firmware, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. I also contribute to the ArboKlim project by supporting the implementation of its field measurement infrastructure and the development and testing of new sensing concepts for tree and soil monitoring.
Research Interests:
As a technician, I am interested in a broad range of technical projects rather than a specific research field. I am particularly open to contributing to new ideas involving hardware, software, instrumentation, prototyping, or custom technical solutions. I enjoy exploring unfamiliar topics and am always interested in supporting interdisciplinary projects, including applications outside my usual area of work.
Career:
I joined GFZ as a technician in 2026, bringing a background in software development, product development, and technical prototyping. Before joining GFZ, I worked for several years in software engineering in the Berlin Startup Bubble, most recently as Lead Frontend Developer and Interim Product Manager.
