Function and Responsibilities:
Since 2025 I am working as a postdoc at the GLM group at GFZ. For my PhD at Delft University of Technology I worked on using multitemporal terrestrial laser scanning for the analysis of dynamics of the sediment surface on the Dutch coast. Before that I worked as mission performance engineer for the Sentinel-6 Mission at ESA (ESTEC) on mission requirements as well as simulations to support mission performance and ground processing prototypes.
Research Interests:
- Multiscale Lidar
- Multitemporal Lidar
- Combining different sensors and data types
- Validation of above ground biomass
Career:
- 2025 - present Postdoc at GFZ Potsdam
- 2019 - 2024 PhD Candidate at TU Delft, thesis on 'Assessing Geomorphologic Processes with Permanent Laser Scanning - A Case Study on the Dutch Coast'
- 2015 - 2019 Mission Performance Engineer for Sentiel-6/Jason-CS at ESA/ESTEC, working in radar altimetry over open ocean
- 2014 - 2015 Young Graduate Trainee in Earth Observation Department of ESA/ESTEC
Education:
- 2024 PhD in Geoscience and Remote Sensing at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands
- 2014 M.Sc. Mathematics at TU Berlin, Germany
- 2011 B.Sc. Mathematics at RWTH Aachen, Germany
