Dr. Pamela Rossel Cartes

Function and Responsibilities:
I am postdoctoral senior scientist at the Interface Geochemistry (Section 3.5). I am currently evaluating organic matter (OM) molecular composition and dynamics on glaciers.
Online presence:
Research Interests:
I am interested in organic geochemistry, particularly in the production, transformation, and fluxes of organic matter (OM) in the environment. I use mass spectrometric analysis to study the molecular composition of a wide of environments (e.g. hydrothermal fluids, sediment pore water from the deep ocean, and snow and ice surfaces). I combine statistical methods to relate the molecular composition with the characteristics of each habitat and the microorganisms present
