Function and Responsibilities:

I am a PhD student in section 2.6: Geomagnetism working on geomagnetic excursions and reversals. My project is part of the European Research Council Synergy Grant GERACLE, which deals with the effects of past and possible future reversals and polarity swings of the Earth's magnetic field on our habitat. My tasks will mainly involve sampling existing sediment cores and measuring paleomagnetic parameters. In addition, I will be involved in evaluating the quality of existing and new data and analyzing the influence of the climatic signal on the paleomagnetic signal.

Career:

Internship (11/2024 - 07/2025): GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences, Potsdam, Section 4.6 Geomorphology

Internship (07/2022 - 08/2022): Alfred-Wegener-Institute, Potsdam, High-latitute biodiversity group
