The Earthquake Explorer provides up-to-date information and essential background knowledge about earthquakes. Users can access, explore, and analyze earthquake data from around the world by the Earthquake Explorer in a mobile optimized modern web platform. It features an interactive map that lets users filter and view earthquake events by time, location, and magnitude.

It combines information from multiple scientific sections of the GFZ and from scientific cooperation in the involved scientific communities.

The Earthquake Explorer is being developed as part of the DataHub in collaboration with the sections 2.4 Seismology and 2.6 Seismic Hazard and Risk Dynamics and operated as a Helmholtz Cloud Service.
