The aim of the Research Software Directory (RSD) is to increase the visibility and citation of research software and to offer scientists and developers of research software a dedicated platform for all aspects of research software.

helmholtz.software is the Helmholtz Association's RSD and can be used by all employees at the centers. Software and projects can be created and managed collaboratively by the users. Automated data queries from public data sources (e.g. DataCite, ORCID, ROR) enable user-friendly data entry and continuous updating of entries.

The RSD is open source and is developed by the Netherlands eScience Center in collaboration with HIFIS Software Community.
