Christian Erikson, together with Carl Renshaw and Francis Magilligan, received the 2026 Mike Kirkby Award of the British Society for Geomorphology (BSG) for his paper 'Finer grained sediment pulses decrease variability in entrainment thresholds of bed material'. Christian delivered a lecture on his work at the BSG annual meeting on 3rd September 2026.
