The Journal of Hydraulic Engineering (ASCE) gave the 2025 Award for the best Technical Note to Jens Turowski, Gunnar Pruß and Markus Reich for their paper entitled "Experimental Design and Protocol for Standardized Measurements of Rock Erodibility in Fluvial Impact Erosion". In the paper, the authors developed a standardized experimental protocol to measure the the wear resistance of rocks to water-drive impact erosion. They describe in detail the design of experimental setup and protocol, as well as results that are useful for planning experiments.
