The GFZ carries out annual training courses "Seismology and Seismic Hazard Assessment" in the field of geosciences and disaster mitigation, as part of the educational training program of the UNESCO. The courses provide theoretical fundamentals and practical training. They are particularly useful for seismological station and network operators, data interpreters, ans those concerned with seismic zoning and hazard assessment.
