PhD student
Head of sub-project "Multiscale and -temporal detection of landscape indicators for monitoring transformation processes" in LauMon
Coordinator of AgroHyd-X
AgroHyd-X
The objective of the AgroHyd-X initiative is twofold: first, to optimize the use of water resources in agriculture within two districts in Brandenburg; and second, to improve agricultural production as a whole. To this end, two high-resolution FURUNO weather radars are to be installed in southern Brandenburg, with the objective of improving precipitation measurements and forecasts.

m4mining
The objective of the project is to develop multi-scale and multi-temporal remote sensing technologies and methods that allow the acquisition, processing and analysis of data from mining and tailing sites to help improving the mining value chain and mitigate the environmental impact of commercial mining activities.https://www.gfz.de/en/section/remote-sensing-and-geoinformatics/projects/m4mining
ReMon (closed)
Within the ReMon project a prototype monitoring system for mining waste dumps is to be created, which combines software and hardware. Different sensors from space to drone are integrated. The monitoring system is primarily intended for mining applications.

Lights (closed)LIGHTS (Lightweight Integrated Ground and Airborne Hyperspectral Topological Solution) is designed to explore new exploration processes at the target scale. A single field survey is sufficient to collect airborne and ground-based data and to identify the exploration target. LIGHTS combines drone based hyperspectral imaging with innovative detection software.

REEMAP (closed)
Within the REEMAP project, a modular multi-sensor process chain for modern imaging spectrometers shall be created, which enables direct (via absorption characteristics) or indirect (via mineral associations) detection and semi-quantification very fast, reliable and on a large scale, also by technical staff, in order to fulfill the current requirements for cost-effective, fast and reliable exploration and potential assessment.
