Werdegang / Ausbildung:

2016-2020 BSc in Engineering of Materials and Nanotechnology (Politecnico di Milano)

Thesis: “Building a spectroscopic database of automotive paintings” (Department of Chemical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano, Prof. Chiara Castiglioni)

2020-2022 MSc in Environmental Science: Atmosphere, Biogeochemistry and Climate Change (Stockholm University)

Thesis: "Quantifying the biogenic silica release to the East Siberian Arctic Ocean by erosion of coastal permafrost" (Stockholm University, Prof. Birgit Wild)

Projekte:

My research is focused on nutrient cycles on glacial environments. I study both macro and micro nutrient on glacial surfaces (Svalbard) and along glacial rivers (Iceland), analysing their concentration and speciation. The aim of the project is to check whether these chemical species undergo major changes and transformation due to abiotic and biotic processes before reaching the ocean.

My project is part of the EU funded IceBio MSCA network, comprised of both glacial microbiology and geochemistry PhD students: https://www.icebio.eu/pages/project/about-icebio.html
