20.03.2014| Berlin:The Technical University Berlin today has presented Dr. Heinz Wilkes with a Certificate for the Academic Degree of Adjunct Professor for Biogeochemistry in appreciation of his outstanding achievements in Research and Education.

20.03.2014| Berlin:The Technical University Berlin today has presented Dr. Heinz Wilkes with a Certificate for the Academic Degree of Adjunct Professor for Biogeochemistry in appreciation of his outstanding achievements in Research and Education.

Dr. Wilkes lectures within the Bachelor- and Master Degree Programmes “Geotechnology” at the Institute for Applied Geosciences of Faculty VI – Planning Building Environment – of the Technical University Berlin. His research at the GFZ focuses on the biogeochemical carbon cycle and the geochemistry of fossil fuels. A main area of interest is the investigation of the mechanisms and impact of anaerobic microbial degradation of hydrocarbons and crude oil.
